Honda CB500X Pannier Racks by Outback Motortek.

The Outback Motortek X-Frames for the Honda CB500X are the most universal and functional side pannier frames yet, allowing simple, secure mounting of Rotopax, hard panniers and soft luggage.

Total width of the asymmetrical pannier racks mounted: 495mm. Compatible with our Rear Rack.

The new X-Frame sliding “X” plate design allows Rotopax 1 gallon can to be installed on the inside or our tool box.

Exhaust heat shield is included!

Important note: Although we offer an exhaust heat shield for CB500X models, the main purpose of it is to keep bags coming in contact with the muffler. We cannot guarantee that heat coming off of the exhaust gas will be prevented by the heat shield. We suggest that you protect your soft panniers from melting while we're working on a complete heat protection package.

Look Around

Initially quite happy as purchased along with Enduristan panniers. 2022 CB500X exhaust started to melt my bag with just the heat from exhaust gas not contact with the muffler. Welded an aluminum plate at back corner, no longer an issue. One bolt worked its way out despite Loctite and proper torque. Not much thread to grab, second bolt on opposite side worked loose during 8 day trip. Replaced both with longer bolts and nuts. Exhaust shield that comes with it is for accidental contact when putting on or off not the emission, don't bother putting it on. Don't recommend, will replace with rackless in future.

Nice rack

I installed these to go along with the Outback rear rack on my CB500X. Installation was straight forward. Outback has a great video with install instructions.
Solid well built racks.

Outback Motortek Pannier Racks - Honda CB500X

Bought this because it said it would work with the lone rider saddle bags and it would fit on the cb 500x, and it had a heat sheld to protect the bottem of the bags. Went on my first trip and thought I could smell somthing burning, pulled over to check and found the bottem of the saddle bad had melted.
