Create your ideal lean angle regardless of how much gear you have on your GS with the AltRider Adjustable Height Side Stand. It has a steel upper portion to properly support the weight of the bike and rider and includes an enlarged foot with convex surface to securely park your bike on soft or uneven ground. Infinitely adjustable heightsfrom 0.25 inch (0.635 cm) shorter to 1.75 inch (4.445 cm) longer than OEM to find the exact length that best suits your needs.
The R 1300 GS is known for having a heavy lean angle. Pushing the heavy GS off its factory side stand can be a heave especially for shorter riders. BMW knows that the GS will occasionally be loaded down with luggage and gear. Because of this BMW designed the GS with lots of lean angle to compensate for when the bike is weighted down and the suspension sinks changing the lean.
