The Adventure Moto/Outback Motortek X-Frames for the Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere are the most universal and functional side pannier frames yet, allowing simple, secure mounting of Rotopax, hard panniers and soft luggage.

New for 2019: we’re now offering standard pannier racks. The difference between our standard pannier racks and the X-Frames is that the standard frames don’t feature RotoPax mounts and tabs welded on all four corners.

X-Frame


Designed by Adventure Moto Australia and manufactured by Outback Motortek. The new X-Frames are the most universal and functional side pannier frames yet, allowing simple, secure mounting of Rotopax, hard panniers and soft luggage.

Matte black powder coated mild steel frames with an alloy X-bracket with multiple Rotopax mounting positions for custom weight distribution, as well as multiple tie-down points. You can even remove the X-Bracket from your frames when running Hard Luggage to reduce the frame weight.

Great Quality

I am glad I went with the X frames. The extra $ spent was worth the extra features, especially when using them with soft luggage. As usual, shipping was quick too.

Issue with mounting RotoPax

While the standard pannier frame is excellent, the x-frame has 9 holes for the RotoPax mount installation, however, you have to drill an additional hole to fit the 1 gallon gas pack on the inside.
Bigger than 1 gallon would only fit on the outside of the x-frame on the Super Tenere.
Other than this, it is pretty cool.
